Many people says that I have sent my e-mail but I don’t know how to recall my e-mail message, How to delay my e-mail message and how to schedule a meeting request.
This post is to let you know how to recall your sent e-mail messages without reading by recipient. First I must tell you that don’t wait and just do whatever I am telling you in this post if you have sent your mail to someone else by mistake.
Select Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 -> Click on Sent folder
Just double click on e-mail which you have sent by mistake…. Your e-mail message will look like this.
Select Other Actions and click on Recall This Message.
Now you will get two options “Delete unread copies of this message” and “Delete unread copies and replace with a new message” as mentioned in following figure. You can do whatever you want as per your requirement. If you just want to delete the e-mail message then select “Delete unread copies of this message” and click ok.
Your message in recipient’s inbox will look like this.
Here your recipient has two e-mails. One is your original e-mail message and another one is recalled e-mail message. If recipient click on original e-mail message and read it then your recall will failed but if by courtesy and genuinely he opens your recalled message, your e-mail will recalled successfully and he will get a message that you have successfully recalled the e-mail message.
You will get confirmation e-mail message that your e-mail is successfully recalled.
