For security reasons, some files and folders are not visible to Users and Administrators too. Administrators make them visible only when they have to troubleshoot and fix computer related issues. If your computer is infected from viruses and you need to show protected operating system files, you can do it by just following these simple steps.
Just follow below steps to unhide protected operating system files.
Step-1:
Open My Computer or Press Windows + E on keyboard to open file explorer.
Step-2:
Now go to Tools menu > Click on Folder Options.
Step-3:
Select View tab under Folder Options dialog box.
Step-4:
To show hidden files, folders, and drives.
Select show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button under Hidden files and folders.
Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) option to show hidden protected operating system files.
Step-5:
Now click on Apply button, as soon as you click on Apply button you will get following message that “Are you sure you want to display these files?”
Click on Yes to confirm that you want to show hidden protected system files >> click on OK to finish.
By this way administrators show hidden protected system files and folders to troubleshoot and fix computer problems.
